CONSTRUCTION

Process of making bending points for 4-point bend test fixture. The 30 degree angle was made with a 30 degree tool on the mill. The Part is placed on the tool and then tightened within the vise. Then the mill is used to take of the material off from the top until the angle is created.

MANUFACTURING ISSUES

An In-Depth Explanation

The biggest manufacturing issue that occurred was changing the design of the project while keeping the requirements in mind. Raw stock that was ordered was slightly larger in dimensions than ideal scenario. This means that more machining had to be done, or the design had to be altered.
